All are invited to a Post Lake Geneva Party!!!
My parents have gratiously opened their home to our tri-club for an end-of-season celebration.
According to the website, awards for the Olympic distance will be at 10:30am. Since our team will be represented in droves, we can wait for the awards and then head to the other side of the lake for some food and fun. Here's the address:
500 S Lake Shore Drive
Lake Geneva, WI 53147 (Google Maps Link)
(If you mapquest it, it will take you to the corner of Lake Shore Dr and Campbell St, my parents house actually just south of that location, look for a brown iron fence, the address is on the brick pillar)
Don't worry there are showers for those of us that need to wash off our stink. Food will be aplenty, so just bring yourself and your cheering squad. Hopefully we will even have time to go tubing.
I will need a head count, so I will be sending out an Evite to everyone in the Buehler YTri group. Look for it in your email inbox and please respond to let me know if you will be attending and how many guests are included.
Thanks,
Marsha McCreary

The annual Apple Cider Century takes place Sunday, September 26th! Similar to the Arlington 500, it is a recreational, social bicycle tour of the orchards, forests, and wine country in and around Three Oaks, Michigan. The one day event features rides of 15, 25, 37, 50, 62, 75, and the full 100 miles. There is a relatively flat course for the 15/25/37-mile rides and rolling hills for the 50/62/75-mile rides. All rides are fully supported with maps, SAG vehicles, and refreshments along the way, including a breakfast (paid) in the morning and a spaghetti dinner and ice cream social afterwards. Registration is $35 and the deadline is August 31st, so get registered if you are interested. Feel free to initate to discussion thread on our website -- we're sure there are plenty Ytri-ers who will be interested in making the ~60 mile trip to Michigan. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the end of the tri season! See the website for details. http://www.applecidercentury.com/index.html

Tonight's (Tuesday, August 10th) Performance Cycling Class has been cancelled. Kristan had a dental issue that prevents her from riding tonight. As next week is the final class, she will offer both a time trial and a workout -- attendees can choose which they'd like to do! Sorry about the last-minute notice!

If you are coming to the YTri party Sunday afternoon, please remember to bring your old running shoes. We are collecting them and donating them to an organization that sends them to areas where runners can not afford expensive new running shoes. So remember to throw your old shoes into the back of your car, and drop them off at the party.
